ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Art Supply Network supplies retailers products for their stores as well as direct shipments to their online customers using our Consumer Direct service.
Store Delivery
Orders will be shipped in bulk and can be placed via telephone, fax, or on this website. Special orders are accepted for store delivery, but not for website Consumer Direct delivery.
A minimum of $100 net is required for any purchase order. Orders less than $100.00 will be assessed a $7.50 handling charge. Free shipping will apply to orders over $599 net (some restrictions apply).
Website Consumer Direct Program
If you would like ASN to ship orders directly to your customers, ASN will set-up a data feed to populate your website with product descriptions, images, etc. You set your prices, and we fulfill your orders. Your customers will receive their purchase with a packing slip displaying only your logo and company information.
There is a one-time $500 EDI integration fee and a $100/month maintenance fee for Consumer Direct accounts.
Creating an ASN Account

Credit Application
Texas Sales Tax Resale Certificate (required if Texas tax nexus)
After you have been approved as a qualified retailer, we will email your login and password to access the full site and view your wholesale prices for ordering online or offline.
Forgot Password
If you already have an account but forgot your password, we can send your password to the email address we have in our system. Select the Password Recovery link at the top right of the page to submit a request for your password. If you no longer have access to the email address previously used for your account, you will need to contact customerservice@artsupplynetwork.com.
Security
ASN takes every precaution to ensure the security of your online orders. All electronic transactions have SSL (secure socket layer) encryption for security when transmitting your account information.
SHIPPING
Shipping Exceptions
There are carrier restrictions for certain items, as indicated by the following icons:
– can only be shipped via freight service and restricted from delivery to addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, PO Boxes, or APO/FPO locations. Some items may be assessed a surcharge.
– will be sent directly from the manufacturer with an additional shipping charge
– overweight or oversized items will incur additional shipping charges
Shipping Policies
Shipping charges will be added to the invoice after your order is placed using the most economical means of transport. When ordering for your retail store, it is best to order in large quantities where ASN can ship in pallets via LTL, which will avoid some of the shipping exceptions listed above. All LTL freight shipments, including those which qualify for free shipping, will be subject to accessorial charges charged by the freight carrier. These charges include, but are not limited to: fuel surcharges, lift gate surcharges, peak surcharges, residential delivery surcharges, etc.
Free shipping is provided to destinations within the 48 contiguous United States on orders that total at least $599.00 net, exclusive of boards larger than 30 inches (foam board, gatorfoam, mat board, illustration board, and poster board), 25lb. or heavier clay blocks, slip, kilns, pottery wheels, and certain other merchandise. Free shipping will be allowed for these product exceptions when the balance of the order totals at least $599.00 net of other items that qualify for free shipping. The cost of special order merchandise and products marked with are always excluded from the free shipping total and do not qualify for free shipping.
Consumer Direct website orders sent to your customers will incur a $2.50 handing fee per order plus the actual shipping charges assessed for the class of service selected from the carrier. The packing list included with each Consumer Direct order will display whatever shipping and handling fee you are charging your customer, which may be more or less than the shipping and handling charges. ASN has preferred carrier rates, but we are able to use a retailer's existing shipping account if there is adequate volume to substantiate the additional set-up costs.
All prices are F.O.B. Houston, Texas. For deliveries to the local market, orders over $400.00 net receive free delivery and orders under $400.00 net are assessed a $30.00 delivery fee.
ORDERING
Placing Orders Online
Simply place products in your shopping cart and select "View Cart" when you are ready to checkout. Once you are in your shopping cart you can review the items in your cart and checkout.
Payment Terms
Payment for all purchase orders is due 30 days from the date of the ASN invoice.
Consumer Direct orders sent directly to your customers will be charged to your account on the date the order is shipped.
Order Adjustments
We do our best to process your order and ship it to you as soon as possible. Immediately after an order is received, it is automatically sent to our warehouse for fulfillment. Thus, if you have placed an order and would like to add items to that order, place a separate order for additional items and send an email to customer service to request the orders be combined when shipped, if possible.
Backorders
If we do not have sufficient quantities of an item in-stock, we will ship you what we have in inventory and send you the remaining quantities as soon as they are available.
When ordering online, you will see a B/O column on your Checkout page to indicate items scheduled for backorder. You can chose to remove any backordered quantities for an item or for your entire order directly on the Checkout page.
If ordering via telephone or fax, an ASN customer service representative will notify you when a backorder may apply and give you the option of ordering other similar merchandise, only ordering what is currently in-stock, or backordering the entire quantity originally requested.
Any backorder total under $50 for an order will be automatically canceled.

We can make recommendations as to which products are best suited for your needs. There are also several preset assortments available online which may save you time in selecting the right product mix for your store.
Can't Order Online?
ASN allows any visitor to the ASN website to browse the products available for sale. However, in order to make a purchase or be granted access to additional areas of the ASN website, you will need to create an account. If you are not a retailer but wish to purchase products you see listed on our website, please email your zip-code to customerservice@artsupplynetwork.com and we will provide a store in your area where you can order our merchandise.
Special Pricing
If you have a very large order of an individual item, special pricing may apply.

RETURNS
Return Policy
ASN guarantees that all products sold are of the finest quality and free from defects. If there is a defect with a product you have ordered, it can be returned within 30 days and a new item will be sent to you. All claims for defects are subject to our and/or the manufacturer's inspection prior to issuing you a credit for the item.
We regret that we cannot issue refunds for videos, DVDs, or CDs. All sales are final. In the event of a defective video, DVD, or CD, we will replace it with an identical one.
Restocking
You may return any merchandise to us (at your expense) for a refund or replacement as long as it is within 30 days of the shipment date. The product must arrive back to us in good condition, unused and in the original wrapping or container. Special order items and items marked with a cannot be returned.
Credit will be given for the original purchase price less a 15% restocking fee (unless the order was defective or an incorrect item was shipped). Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
Return Merchandise Authorization
Merchandise should not be returned without prior approval. To notify us of a return request, please send email to customerservice@artsupplynetwork.com or call (713) 535-1309. You will receive an RMA number to include with your returned item(s) as well as the address of our returns department. All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original packing slip. After a returned item has been received, and subject to our return policy above, credit will be issued to your account within 2 to 3 weeks.
Carrier Negligence
Occasionally, our customers receive shipments that may have been damaged in shipping, or may have cartons missing. This is usually the fault of the shipper, and not Art Supply Network.
While we regret the inconvenience caused by these damages and shortages, ASN cannot be held responsible for these occurrences unless it can be determined that the damage or shortage was caused by us. If damage results from improper packaging on our part, or if the shortage is due to our negligence, ASN will be more than happy to re-ship or offer credit.
It is incumbent upon the retailer, upon receiving merchandise, to note on the freight bill any such damages or shortages before signing freight bills. This is necessary to file claims with the carrier for shipping fee reimbursement and/or insurance. In some cases, "concealed damage" may occur, and it may still be possible to receive credit as long as the damage is reported to ASN promptly, and the packing materials are available for inspection by the carrier as evidence.
